Decorations are almost done. We painted the front of the house with lights borrowing from the Monument Avenue aesthetics in Richmond, VA. We are hoping to have an open house for friends and neighbors the day after Christmas between 2 and 4 pm. We will put a sign up in the yard. We are also hoping for a safe time to play music together afterwards. Just check back and we will let you know. There are so many wonderful holiday happenings in the area. Last night (Dec. 9) we enjoyed Farm and Fun time at the BCMM (https://birthplaceofcountrymusic.org/radio/programs/farm-and-fun-time/)
featuring Bill and the Belles, Slocam Ramblers and the Tim O'Brien band. https://birthplaceofcountrymusic.org/event/farm-and-fun-time-11/
It was so awesome, safe, fun, and a fabulous way to kick off the season with friends! WE celebrated our dear friend Gil Adam's honor at Beech Mountain. We enjoyed a sit-around-the-table visit from the star of our first house concert, Rafe Van Hoy! We are in the midst of mailing cards, painting and drawing, practicing zoom yoga, playing music, visiting friends and family, , This Saturday we will be wiggling our toes as we attend the Bristol Ballet's Nutcracker. My family and I were a part of the production many many years ago so it will be a special night for sure. https://paramountbristol.org/event/the-nutcracker/
Hoping to see the Rocky Mount Christmas lights in Piney Flats and, of course the lights at the Speedway! Have a fabulous holiday, y'all!
