2. The studio. . . .

Before attempting any restoration, we set up the downstairs bedroom and of course, the art studio. What a fabulous light this house has! A skylight in the studio (that we believe was a den addition) thrilled me to no end. My studio in South Carolina is typically only wonderful in the fall and spring. Being above the garage, even heaters and the big air conditioner cannot overcome the heat and cold. In addition, I must color-correct every time I bring paintings outside. Here, the light and colors are true. . . .and the windows are filled with incredible skies and clouds. Oh, the clouds.
