3. Where do we start?

After cleaning this very neat and well taken care of home, making sure the kitchen and bathrooms were functional, and creating a comfy bedroom retreat, we were fortunate to find and hire fabulous painters and heating and air professionals. A week before they were scheduled to arrive, we looked around, then at each other and in a flurry we decided to get started! Whew, it was a delightful whirlwind of activity that kept us warm during that cold winter day. We really were reverent as the beautiful, but old, dusty and fragile layers upon layers of draperies came tumbling down in our arms. We saved the rods and some of the tassels. But, mostly these precious piles of memories became crumbled pieces on the floor. Imagine all that they witnessed in this obviously loving home. We think of that moment daily as an incredibly loving task to begin our dream for this home.
