We continue to hope and plan for more house concerts. We also like the idea of free-for-alls where musicians of varying skill levels come and play together. Rafe was so entertaining with his stories about songwriting, guitars, working with cowriters, and other tales of the music world. We would love to engage others in similar ways both from this area and beyond. We dream of having Quinn Loggins come. https://danhodgesmusic.com/artist/quinn-loggins/
We are also very interested in the Corklickers https://www.facebook.com/corklickers/, Ginger Wagner and Paul Herling (Indian Run String Band http://indianrunstringband.com/12-2/). A personal favorite Alexa Rose would be a dream come true performance https://www.alexarosemusic.com/ . And maybe some folks who are already in town may want to stop by for an intimate gathering. Tell us what you think!
In addition, we are thinking about hosting some workshops on such topics as artistic techniques and processes, ecology, working with essential oils, writing, discussing books and poetry, bookmaking, marbling, pottery, painting, etc. We would enjoy having some artists come in such as Kendall Buster, Susie Ganch, Hope Ginsburg, Sonali Gulati, Marvin Tadlock, Charlie Brouwer, Joseph Norman, Stephen Vitiello, Radcliffe Bailey, and others.
Ideas that we whirl around include providing space for the elementary school to exhibit themed exhibitions related to ideas they are studying. Although we would not be open to visitors all the time, we would host a special showing (once we get the picture railing installed).
